Creating a Memorial

Private, Unlisted, Password-Protected or Public Memorials

Every family has different needs. Memorial Garden lets you begin privately and decide later whether to invite people, protect the page with a password, keep it unlisted, or make it public.

Important note

Memorial Garden provides general guidance and remembrance support only. We do not provide legal, medical, financial or counselling advice. For official requirements, please check local guidance or speak to a qualified professional.

Private

A private memorial is only visible to the owner and approved contributors. This is often the safest way to begin.

Unlisted

An unlisted memorial is visible only to people with the link. It does not appear in public search.

Password-protected

A password-protected memorial adds another layer of access control for families who want to share carefully.

Public

A public memorial can be found by visitors and search engines. Use this only when it feels right for the family and the content is appropriate to share publicly.

Start privately with one memory

You do not need to write everything today. Begin with a name, one photo and one sentence, then add more when you are ready.
